Dickens Market – Do your holiday shopping with a Victorian flair!
The 9th annual Dickens Christmas Market will take place on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cypress Creek Community Center. Market attendees can look forward to high-quality crafts and merchandise and delicious food. Feel free to come and just browse – there is no admission price.
Cypress Creek Community Chorale Concert - ‘Hallelujah! Come, Let Us Adore Him!’
The Cypress Creek Community Chorale will present a holiday concert on Sunday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free!
Houston Dance Theatre
Houston Dance Theatre will present its elaborate 29th Annual Production of “The Nutcracker Ballet.” Performances will be held Thanksgiving weekend at the Geiger Performing Arts Center located at the Westfield High School campus. Reserved seating tickets are $20.
Symphony North of Houston
Their December concert on Saturday, December 3, will feature holiday favorites including ‘T’was the Night Before Christmas’ with a guest narrator. Concert to take place at Northwoods Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. Free admission! Donations are always welcome & appreciated.
Houston Family Arts Center – Death By Design: Sept. 9 -25
Houston Family Arts Center presents the World Premiere of Death by Design, commissioned by HFAC, and written by acclaimed New York playwright Rob Urbinati. Houston Dance Theatre – Nutcracker Ballet
Houston Dance Theatre will be holding child dancer auditions September 10, 2011 to cast 100 positions for their 29th annual “Nutcracker Ballet” production, under the Artistic Direction of Angela Jackson. Cypress Creek Community Center – Service of Remembrance 9/11
Cypress Creek Christian Church will host a 9/11 Service of Remembrance at 4 p.m. this Sunday. The service is open to the public. Participants will include:

Renee Hoke, Cypress Creek Christian Church; and the combined choirs of Cypress Creek Christian Church, Northwoods Presbyterian Church, and Hosanna Lutheran Church.

Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts – New Exhibit Opens Saturday!
The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts continues its “Northwest Houston Collects” exhibitions with The Landscape in Art, on view at the museum from August 27 – December 18, 2011. The exhibition, from local, private collections, showcases works never before shown to the public.
Cypress Creek Community Center – Chorale performs Pop Show Sunday!!
The Cypress Creek Chancel Chorale and soloists will perform this Sunday in the Forum Building of the Cypress Creek Community Center. Tickets are $15 for adults & $6 for students. Dinner included.

Save the Date! May 1 at 7pm. Cypress Creek Community Chorale, under the direction of Clara Lewis, will perform a Choral Vespers, “Speak to One Another” at the Lanier Theological Library, Stone Chapel. Admission is free but you must register online to attend at www.laniertheologicallibrary.org.

Cypress Creek Community Chorale, Clara Lewis, conductor, Ann Frohbieter, accompanist, will present its annual Spring Concert at the Centrum. The featured work is a new Requiem by Bob Chilcott, founder of England’s famous Kings Singers. Shannon Jacobson, soprano, and Jimmy Jacobson, tenor are the featured soloists for this hauntingly beautiful, lush and lyrical work. A program highlight is performanceby special guest artist, Christopher Michel, baritone and head of Voice Faculty at Sam Houston State University, singing selected works from Vaughn Williams Five Mystical Songs – Easter, The Call and the choral finale, Antiphon – Let All the World In Every Corner Sing.
Admission is free but a goodwill offering would be appreciated.
For twenty-six seasons, Cypress Creek Community Chorale under the direction of Clara Lewis has brought to northwest audiences outstanding major works concerts with professional orchestra. The Chorale has toured internationally performing at New York’s Carnegie Hall, Cathedral Notre Dame and La Madeleine in Paris France, Salzburg Cathedral, St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.
Upcoming Event: On May 1st, the Chorale will present an evening Choral Concert at the Lanier Theological Library Stone Chapel. Admission is free but reservations must be made.
