Cypress Creek Community Chorale, Clara Lewis, conductor, Ann Frohbieter, accompanist, will present its annual Spring Concert at the Centrum. The featured work is a new Requiem by Bob Chilcott, founder of England’s famous Kings Singers. Shannon Jacobson, soprano, and Jimmy Jacobson, tenor are the featured soloists for this hauntingly beautiful, lush and lyrical work. A program highlight is performanceby special guest artist, Christopher Michel, baritone and head of Voice Faculty at Sam Houston State University, singing selected works from Vaughn Williams Five Mystical Songs – Easter, The Call and the choral finale, Antiphon – Let All the World In Every Corner Sing.
Admission is free but a goodwill offering would be appreciated.
For twenty-six seasons, Cypress Creek Community Chorale under the direction of Clara Lewis has brought to northwest audiences outstanding major works concerts with professional orchestra. The Chorale has toured internationally performing at New York’s Carnegie Hall, Cathedral Notre Dame and La Madeleine in Paris France, Salzburg Cathedral, St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.
Upcoming Event: On May 1st, the Chorale will present an evening Choral Concert at the Lanier Theological Library Stone Chapel. Admission is free but reservations must be made.
