Seasons Greetings to everyone! Check out the Alliance’s various organizations on the right side of your screen – we each have shows and events that your family will love. Below is a small sample of what’s going on in Northwest Houston this holiday season…

Cypress Creek Christian Community Center
Dickens Market – Do your holiday shopping with a Victorian flair!
The 9th annual Dickens Christmas Market will take place on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cypress Creek Community Center.  Market attendees can look forward to high-quality crafts and merchandise and delicious food.  Feel free to come and just browse – there is no admission price.

Cypress Creek Community Chorale Concert - ‘Hallelujah! Come, Let Us Adore Him!’
The Cypress Creek Community Chorale will present a holiday concert on Sunday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m.  Admission is free!

Houston Dance Theatre
Houston Dance Theatre will present its elaborate 29th Annual Production of “The Nutcracker Ballet.”  Performances will be held Thanksgiving weekend at the Geiger Performing Arts Center located at the Westfield High School campus.  Reserved seating tickets are $20.

Symphony North of Houston
Their December concert on Saturday, December 3, will feature holiday favorites including ‘T’was the Night Before Christmas’ with a guest narrator.  Concert to take place at Northwoods Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m.  Free admission!  Donations are always welcome & appreciated.

Houston Family Arts Center – Death By Design: Sept. 9 -25
Houston Family Arts Center presents the World Premiere of Death by Design, commissioned by HFAC, and written by acclaimed New York playwright Rob Urbinati.  Death by Design - a comedic murder mystery - opens today at the Garza Main Stage located at 10760 Grant Road, Houston, TX 77070.  Tickets: $12-16.  Group rates are available.  Box Office: 281-685-6374. 

Houston Family Arts Center Actors Academy
Kissless will be at the Berry Center Sept. 11, 17, & 18.  Houston’s only chance to see the show before it premieres off Broadway at the New York Musical Theatre Festival!

Houston Dance Theatre – Nutcracker Ballet
Houston Dance Theatre will be holding child dancer auditions September 10, 2011 to cast 100 positions for their 29th annual “Nutcracker Ballet” production, under the Artistic Direction of Angela Jackson.  Good luck to HDT and applicants!  Reserved seating tickets go on sale to the public on October 3 for the Thanksgiving weekend performances at Westfield’s Geiger Performing Arts Center.  For more information, please visit www.houstondancetheatre.org or call 281-444-9698. 

Cypress Creek Community Center – Service of Remembrance 9/11


Cypress Creek Christian Church will host a 9/11 Service of Remembrance at 4 p.m. this Sunday.  The service is open to the public.  Participants will include: 

Rabbi Jonathan Siger, Congregation Jewish Community North; Judge Kent Adams, Harris County Precinct 4; Afshan Jilani, Houston Northwest Area Mosques; Honor Guard, Harris County Constables, Precinct 4; Rev. Ginni Brown Daniel, Plymouth United Church; Rev. Renee Hoke, Cypress Creek Christian Church; and the combined choirs of Cypress Creek Christian Church, Northwoods Presbyterian Church, and Hosanna Lutheran Church.
