Lone Star College-CyFair will present World Music Series: “Gloria” by Antonio Lucio Vivaldi. Vivaldi’s music was innovative and brightened the formal and rhythmic structure of the concerto, in which he looked for harmonic contrasts and innovative melodies and themes. Many of his compositions are flamboyantly, and almost playfully, exuberant.

Add a little music to your month with the “MusicNCompany” concert set Thursday, March 10 Lone Star College-CyFair. Enjoy an instrumental variety show under the direction of Dr. John Wolfskill featuring LSC-CyFair’s Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, String Ensemble and chamber ensembles of flutes, clarinets, saxophones and brass. “We make music,” said Wolfskill. “But a warning: It might just get loud!”
The 7:30 p.m. concert will be held in the Main Stage Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts building on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
