What’s up in the Arts?

School has started and our Arts Alliance members are busy kicking off their 2009-2010 seasons. Here is a highlight of what’s coming this fall…

ACE Theatre opens with the family entertainment production of “Beauty IS a Beast” on September 4th.

Applause Theatre will open on October 16th with “Children of Eden.”

Cypress Creek FACE will open their season with The Four Freshmen on Saturday, September 19th.

Houston Dance Theatre will have their annual “Nutcracker” auditions on Saturday, September 12. Check out their website for more details.

Houston Family Arts Center and Lone Star College – Cy-Fair present “CROWNS” beginning October 8th.

Houston’s Center Stage Theater will present “A Taffeta Christmas” beginning December 4th.

Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts new exhibition, “An American View: The Hosek Collection of American Art” will run through December 20th.

Playhouse 1960 will present “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” beginning October 10th.

Symphony North of Houston’s fall concert will be Sunday, October 25.

Texas Master Chorale will present “Randol Bass Glad Tiddings” on December 6th.

Texas Repertory Theatre Co. presents the off-Broadway, sci-fi, doowop musical comedy “Little Shop of Horrors” beginning September 30th.
